Writing in metaphor is a lovely practice, exonerating obscure details by giving the reader something to grasp in relation to emotion, thought, or mood. Life and writing- it is comedy, tragedy, and drama all on one seat, teetering with fictional prose on the other seat. It is still a worthy ride. About, hmmm, I am still learning who I am with each bounce to new heights and drops to new lows. But if you take my coffee, I’m definitely a wild thing.

  11. Oh Tammy – I literally gasped as I read that your hard drive crashed. My computer serves as assistive technology – compensating for the holes in my brain (only half kidding!) Had I lost my best work too, I doubt I could remain as upbeat as you seem to be.

I was also struck by your “private person” opening. So many poet/bloggers have disclosed something similar, which is difficult for the open-faced sandwich that I usually am to understand. Poetry seems channelled only through souls turned inside out – the most self-disclosing of writing formats to share one’s very core! I don’t know if I could ever be that brave.

I look forward to reading more.

    • Welcome Madelyn! Thank you for that thoughtful introduction. I love the line, ‘poetry seems channeled only through souls turned inside out’. That is beautiful and there is a poet in you yet despite the doubt otherwise ๐Ÿ™‚ For years I’ve used several pseudonyms on the web and opened up under my real name in 2015 with this wordpress. There are many reasons to stay private on the web especially if dealing with sensitive subjects but at this point of career and life, I’d rather just have the life of a poet where there are no hesitancies in subject matter ๐Ÿ˜‰ In this day and age I feel for the younger crowd, imagine if we were young on the internet sharing everything where nothing is erased arghhh. Looking forward to interacting with you more and loved your site ๐Ÿ™‚

  17. Hi Tammy! I wanted to share with you this meet and greet (online) for bloggers that another fellow blogger is hosting. You share your website information in the comments and such and I thought of you because your poetry is so beautiful and blesses so many people. If you are interested, here is the site. Also, I just saw the info on your book, and I will be ordering it on my payday. Can’t wait to read it!
Here is the link to the meet and greet. Let me know if you have trouble with the link. https://wordpress.com/read/feeds/54915133/posts/1372774042
